Stacy and Matt- Photosession/Engagement Session

This started out as just a photo shoot that I wanted to do. Matt and Stacy have been dating for while now and I wanted to do the honor of photographing them. I am so proud of our military and how they put their lives literally on hold to serve our country.
I am so grateful for the duty they do. I Just can't express how thankful I am to live in this great country where I can one day wake up and say I am going to be a photographer for my career and that I have the freedom and the opportunity to do so. We are able to sleep in our beds and come home to our families everyday safely cause of the sacrifice these men and women make. So this was actually something that I just felt I had to do. I just wanted to portray the love between a soldier and his girlfriend who he would only get see a few times a year.
I had just met Matt on this day and by the end of our session and time here I knew he was perfect for my good friend Stacy!!.
I was so surprised when he pulled out the ring I didn't know if I should keep shooting or give them a moment. After I shut my mouth ( after saying out loud..are you serious?, Like Dah, of course he was, like it would be a joke) So I tried to not be intrusive but capture the moments the best I could. Matt made sure I had a bird eye view of the whole thing.
It was so exiting and such a great honor to be part of. It was a blast and we got some really great images!!
Here is a little video of the session!! Careful though if your a sucker for a love story...grab a tissue.
Matt is now on his way back to Iraq, he left on Tuesday morning and will be back in January.
Imagine what the wedding will be like....
